Spoiled Eldest Miss x Two-faced Madman

CHAPTER 98: “Not A Bad Taste.”

“I—I’m waiting for someone, what does that have to do with you!”

The girl on the bridal bed bit down on her lip. Her eyes were clearly filled with panic, but she still furrowed her brows stubbornly, refusing to back down.

She was never the obedient type. Spoiled since she was little, she’d always been the one others listened to. How could a pampered young lady like her possibly obey someone else's will?

Even when threatened by this man, she only acted obedient on the surface. Behind his back, she never stopped looking for a way to escape.

Just like that very first day he met her—smiling sweetly, she’d lured those men who had insulted her into a cave, then knocked them down and beat the hell out of them.

That was when he realized—this girl was anything but tame.

“You thought marrying into the Prince's Mansion would get you away from me?”

Pei Ji’s gaze dropped slightly, taking in her delicate face, carefully adorned with makeup.

He should’ve gotten used to that face by now. It wasn’t supposed to affect him anymore. But just one look, and his chest tightened, like a wild rabbit had started thumping around inside.

Faced with his cold, mocking question, the girl lifted her chin and snapped back in defiance, “Do whatever you want! Kill me, chop me up, I don’t care! So what if you’ve caught me? I’ll never like you. You’re terrifying—no one could ever like someone like you!”

She fired off her words quickly, then immediately squeezed her eyes shut. Her thick lashes trembled like fluttering butterfly wings.

She bit her lip uneasily. Her snow-white teeth sank into the soft flesh, leaving a slight dent in her plump lips, like a ripe cherry being squeezed, on the verge of spilling sweet juice.

The contrast between her red lips and white teeth was striking, painfully beautiful in its intensity.

The man's gaze was drawn to that shade of red, his Adam’s apple bobbing involuntarily.

Originally, he had planned to take her away quietly, even though it came with great risk. After all, the Prince's Mansion was heavily guarded, and Ming Yi had the Xuan Yi Wei guards by his side. Getting in was easy—getting out unnoticed with a living, breathing person would be far more difficult.

Pei Ji had no intention of exposing his identity.

But now, in this moment, he was starting to reconsider his plan.

“How could I kill you?” he suddenly chuckled, a light, pleasant laugh tinged with dangerous undertones. His voice, however, was gentle, as if whispering sweet nothings. “I like you so much… I can barely stop myself from cherishing you.”

An Jiu kept her eyes shut, her world swallowed by darkness, but she could feel him leaning in. His breath brushed against her face as he studied her from up close.

Even with her eyes closed, she couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched by a wild beast. That pressure weighed heavily in her chest.

“You… you pervert! Who wants your love!”

She furrowed her brows, forced herself to be brave, and shouted at him with a soft but firm voice. As soon as the words left her mouth, she heard a low laugh by her ear.

  “Say that again.”

  “…???”

What the hell? How was she supposed to keep playing along when he said things like that?

An Jiu was so stunned she opened her eyes and found him actually smiling. Not a mocking sneer, but a quiet, genuine-looking smile.

He… liked being cursed at? What kind of twisted kink was this?

Before she could figure it out, she suddenly felt something cold on her lips—like a snowflake falling.

Dressed in red, the man showed no visible change in expression. Only his lips looked pale and colorless.

He had lightly pressed his fingertip against her vibrant, red lips. When she’d been yelling at him earlier, her little mouth had been opening and closing in such a beautiful way, it was all he could think about.

But An Jiu was momentarily distracted, not just by his strange request, but also by the odd temperature of his body.

“System, how’s Pei Ji’s condition right now? He’s not gonna die on me, is he? I’m kinda scared he’ll drop dead before I finish the route.”

She voiced her concern to the system while maintaining a calm face.

  System:【…】

【Host, don’t worry. Your target will definitely outlive you.】

An Jiu let out a sigh of relief. “Good, then I won’t stress.”

She really was afraid Pei Ji might push himself to death. He didn’t look all that healthy at the moment.

Their exchange took only a second. An Jiu quickly snapped back to the situation and glared at him again, her brows furrowed. “Ming Yi has the Xuan Yi Wei guards nearby. If I shout, they’ll rush in instantly! I’m warning you, get out now or you’ll regret it!”

But the man didn’t even flinch. With an amused smile, he said, “Go on then. Shout.”

An Jiu opened her mouth to scream, but in the next second, he tapped her shoulder, and she couldn’t make a sound.

Panic flashed in her eyes, but she refused to admit defeat. She raised her hands to push him away, but she had clearly overestimated herself. As a delicate young lady, there was no way she could move someone who trained in martial arts. She couldn't even pry open his hands that were pinching her face.

In desperation, her other hand groped around on the bed until she touched something. She grabbed it and hurled it at him.

Catching him off guard, the handful of nuts smacked the man in the face a few times. His grip loosened instinctively.

An Jiu seized the chance, jerked her face to the side to slip free from his hold, and bolted toward the door.

As long as she could get outside, someone would definitely see her. Then she'd be saved.

  That was what she thought.

But before she could even get to her feet, a long hand clamped tightly around her arm. The man yanked her back effortlessly. The force was so strong she lost her balance and tumbled straight onto the large wedding bed. The gold crown on her head wobbled dangerously, its tassels clinking softly against each other.

“I didn’t want to do this, but you’ve pushed me too far.”

His dark eyes narrowed slightly. There was no hint of emotion in his expression as he looked down at her from above.

He slowly raised his hand, holding a round, plump longan fruit between his pale fingers. His gaze darkened. “They say people scatter fruits on the wedding bed to bless the couple with children… were these what you just threw at me?”

An Jiu reached behind her and, sure enough, grabbed a handful of dried fruits. Without hesitation, she tossed another handful right at him.

Pei Ji didn’t move. He just let the jujubes, peanuts, longans, and lotus seeds bounce off his red robes and scatter to the floor.

When he lifted his eyes to look at her, An Jiu kicked off her shoes and rolled further into the bed.

He was blocking the outside, so if she couldn’t run, hiding and buying time was the next best option.

Surprisingly, the man didn’t get angry. His gaze lingered on the wide wedding bed, unreadable and deep. “So this bed will be your and Ming Wang’s little love nest from now on?”

An Jiu had no idea what he was planning, but she figured it wouldn’t go beyond what he’d done the last couple of times—punishing her with that overly sensitive body of her.

Sure, it was tough to endure in the moment, and afterward she felt completely drained, but if it happened once in a while… it wasn’t exactly terrible.

To be honest, it even felt kind of good.

Anyway, as long as he still needed her to detoxify him, he wouldn’t actually cross the line. After all, the Twin-soul Gu required the girl to be a virgin.

Thinking of that, An Jiu felt bolder.

She grabbed another handful of nuts and flung them at him again. They couldn’t hurt him, but it still felt good to let off some steam.

She got two handfuls in before her wrist was caught.

The man leaned down, his cold fingers gripping her wrist. As she struggled fiercely, he tapped a few pressure points on her body.

Here it comes. She knew it.

That all-too-familiar sensation rose in her chest. An Jiu, now a veteran of this situation, had already prepared herself to go limp on the bed.

She even shifted around to find a comfy spot, leaning against the soft red wedding quilt to make sure she collapsed in comfort.

Since she couldn’t speak right now, it saved her the trouble of putting on a show. All she had to do was glare at him with her eyes.

Hurry up and finish this so we can call it a day.

At this moment, An Jiu felt like an exhausted middle-aged man coming home from a long day of work, lying next to his wife and just wanting to get the deed over with and go to sleep.

“Did you see what I wore today?” The mischievous little goblin who’s trying to drain her dry still had the nerve to ask with a smile.

An Jiu glanced at his red robe and signaled with her eyes that yes, she saw it.

The man curled his lips into a grin. “I specially wore this for the occasion. Now tell me, if Ming Wang finds out I spent the wedding night in here with you, what do you think he'd do?”

An Jiu glared at him hard.

Pei Ji's smile deepened, clearly in a good mood.

Honestly, the idea had just popped into his head. He realized that if Ming Wang had successfully returned to the capital today, tonight would’ve been their wedding night.

Of course, he would never let that actually happen. But even just imagining it made him feel an overwhelming urge to kill someone.

Then, the moment he swapped Ming Wang’s place with himself in that scenario, the urge to kill shifted into another kind of urge—one that was harder to suppress.

An Jiu stared at him in disbelief.

Had she underestimated his twisted mind again? Wearing a wedding robe and doing this with her on someone else's marriage bed? Was that not some kind of deep psychological issue?

Also, could he really go through with it?

Her gaze slipped downward toward his waist and quickly darted back up.

Was he trying to kill himself?

She wasn’t sure if her emotions were showing too clearly in her eyes or if they’d been misunderstood, but either way, it seemed like the man got the wrong idea.

“What are you thinking about?” he let out a short breath, almost amused but with a chilly undertone. “You think I won’t do it?”

He reached out toward her, and his fingers, cold and void of warmth, touched her chin. The chill shot straight to her bones.

With her hypersensitive condition triggered, that cold instantly spread through her whole body, making her shiver uncontrollably.

But not long after, she felt hot all over again.

Back in the northern borderlands, his body had burned like a furnace. Now, suddenly, he had turned cold again—unnaturally so.

His icy fingertips brushed against her warm skin, not only bringing a chill like falling snow but also setting off a wildfire that spread wildly beneath the surface.

The bright red hem of the bride's dress draped over the man’s pale wrist. Layers of fabric piled together, and beneath the skirt, a slight rise bulged faintly, as if a small creature were hidden beneath, trembling now and then.

This time, unlike the ones before, he didn’t forcefully press down and cause a mess.

Pei Ji was a doctor, and no one knew the human body better than a doctor. Even if he had never practiced certain things before, he still knew exactly how to make a woman feel pleasure.

Everything happened quietly, tucked away in the shadows.

Inside the room, the red candles burned softly. Outside, the joyful noise of the banquet echoed from afar.

The girl’s head tilted slightly back, lips parted as she stared blankly at the ceiling. Her peach blossom eyes shimmered, dazed and unfocused, as if her soul had drifted away and she had turned into a lifeless doll.

A pale, slender hand with defined joints reached toward her lips. At his fingertips was a snow-white lotus seed, no bigger than a pinky tip.

Strangely, both his fingers and the lotus seed shimmered faintly, as if they had just been washed in water.

  “Wanna try how it tastes?”

An Jiu looked at him in a daze, her mind taking a beat to catch up before realizing what he meant. Her mouth snapped shut, and she turned her head away in embarrassment.

  Go away! You pervert!

The next moment, she heard a quiet chewing sound. An Jiu whipped her head around in shock, only to see the man swallowing something down with a faint motion of his throat. He gave her a meaningful look and said, “Not bad at all.”

  An Jiu: “!!!”

Something about her expression in that moment seemed to delight him. For the first time that night, the man genuinely laughed. His long, dark eyes curved into slits, glinting with amusement.

He picked up a red date from the bed with interest, then leaned down and gently brushed aside the damp hair clinging to her cheek. In a soft voice, he asked, “Did you throw this at me?”

An Jiu shook her head with all her might, like a rattle-drum, to the point her hair ornament nearly came loose.

She struggled to move her weakened body, inching backward again and again.

But under her frightened gaze, the man's smile only grew more amused.

“Looks like you did... then I guess I’ll have another taste of it.”

A hand reached out, grasped the girl's slender, pale ankle, and without giving her any chance to resist, dragged her toward him.

The girl's delicate, pale fingers clutched the bedsheet like a drowning person grabbing at straw. The vibrant red fabric crumpled into a messy heap, yet it couldn’t stop her from slipping deeper into the sea of desire.

As the cold snowflakes once again drifted down onto the delicate flower, melting into a gentle stream, she could no longer hold it in and began to sob softly.
