🕊️Announcement 🕊️
So I keep getting sick again! Not my fault when the weather is so, so, so hot nowadays 😑
I try to go out less, drink a lot of water, and bathe more. But I still need to buy groceries and hang clothes outside (yeah… no dryer at home 🫠).
So hurray. Got heatstroke today. Haha 😂
Anyway… let’s talk science 🔭🧪
---
🌡️ Why 34°C Weather Feels So Uncomfortable (Even If It’s Lower Than Body Temperature)
You might think 34°C shouldn’t feel that bad since it’s lower than your body temperature (~37°C). But comfort isn’t about simple comparison — it’s about how your body loses heat.
---
🔥 1. Your body needs to release heat, not compare temperatures
🧪 Your body constantly produces heat. To stay stable, it must release that heat into the environment.
But when the air is around 34°C:
🧪 it’s almost the same temperature as your skin
🧪 heat escapes very slowly
🧪 your body struggles to cool down
🧪 So instead of feeling fine, your body ends up feeling “stuck” in heat.
---
💦 2. Humidity makes it worse
In humid weather:
🧪 sweat doesn’t evaporate properly
🧪 evaporation cooling becomes ineffective
🧪 you feel hotter and more exhausted
That’s why tropical weather can feel way worse than the actual number.
---
🌬️ 3. Cooling depends on temperature difference
🧪 Heat naturally moves from hot → cold.
🧪 If the difference is small, your body can’t release heat efficiently.
So when:
🧪 skin temperature ≈ air temperature
🧪 your cooling system basically slows down.
---
🧠 Simple way to think about it
🧪 Your body is like a machine that needs airflow to cool itself.
🧪 If the surrounding air is also hot, the system struggles — and you feel tired, sticky, and uncomfortable.
---
🧊 Bottom line
Even if 34°C is lower than body temperature, it still feels bad because your body can’t efficiently get rid of heat.

☘️ Posted on Kofi too 😵💫 I’ll upload all the missing chapters on Sunday. It’s way too hot to proofread—I literally can’t read 😑
