Spoiled Eldest Miss x Two-faced Madman

CHAPTER 35: She Remembered Nothing

The moment his lips clamped down on hers, Pei Ji smelled the intoxicating fragrance of peach blossoms.

The scent wafted from the girl's mouth, rich and fragrant. He had swallowed it all in a single instant, as if he had fallen into a blooming peach orchard.

This involuntarily brought back memories of the peach forest in the Medicine King Valley. Before he was allowed to leave the small courtyard, he could only obtain information from the outside world through external objects.

Like the birds that flew over the courtyard and the winds that blew from all directions.

The wind carried a lot of information. Every spring, when the willow branches sprouted new buds, he would smell a delicious fragrance.

Little Pei Ji gestured and asked the old servant what the scent was.

The old servant never spoke to him, and naturally, he wouldn't answer.

Later, he escaped from that courtyard and became the nominal young master of the Medicine King Valley.

Pei Ji returned to his original courtyard, wanting to see what the place that had imprisoned him for four years was like. He discovered that near the lake, not far from the small courtyard, grew a peach orchard. Every spring, it would bloom with vast swathes of pink clouds.

He had never seen a peach blossom, yet he had smelled its fragrance first.

Even when he was a small child who didn't know what a peach blossom was, he had already experienced its beauty.

Now, besides the fragrance, he felt softness. Soft like a cloud, soft like a slippery little fish.

Pei Ji thought of that absurd dream.

The touch in the dream seemed just like this.

He couldn't help but open his mouth to bite, to lick with his tongue. He tasted a lingering sweetness.

The dream before had also been sweet.

  So, another dream?

In the hazy confusion, Pei Ji couldn't help but wonder.

This dream was different from the previous ones. He could feel the slight struggle of the girl in his arms.

Every time he opened his mouth to bite, she trembled in his arms, a soft hum escaping her nostrils. That sound, falling on his ears, was like adding fuel to a fire, igniting a raging inferno within him.

Strangely, as the flames burned, the ubiquitous pain in his body unknowingly lessened.

The small hands bound behind her back kept wriggling. She turned her head, trying to avoid him.

“Mmm... let go... of... me…” the girl whimpered softly.

In the last dream, she had been perfectly docile.

At this moment, Pei Ji's rationality was almost nonexistent. Only a blurry instinct controlled his body.

He was extremely dissatisfied. Why the resistance this time?

The man pulled back slightly, using the hand that was supporting himself against the doorframe to grasp the girl's delicate chin. As soon as she was freed, she immediately cried out angrily, “Pei Ji, you're assaulting me! You cripple, dare you... Mmm!”

  Too noisy.

  He leaned down again.

This time, the girl had nowhere to escape.

Her body was pressed against the door, her slender arms bound behind her back, her chin raised, in a posture of forced compliance.

The man's breath was heavy, hot air spraying onto the girl's cheek, their breaths mingling. His dark hair fell down, tangling with hers.

Pei Ji's lips were thin and slightly cool. When they moved across her tender lips, a slight stinging sensation spread.

An Jiu closed her eyes, tiny physiological tears welling up in the corners.

  She really was in pain.

Pei Ji was not in his right mind; he wouldn't control his strength at all. Her hands hurt from being grabbed, her chin hurt from being pinched, and this rough, dog-like kiss—everything hurt.

She had truly paid a great deal for tonight.

If her favorability didn't increase tomorrow, she would definitely assassinate him!

While fuming inwardly, An Jiu opened her mouth, allowing the persistent intruder, who had been unable to gain entry, to finally enter. Fearing he might not understand, she even poked her tongue out, lightly touching his.

The moment their soft tongues touched, the tall figure pressing down on her trembled slightly.

Then, like a traveler in the desert, nearly dead from thirst, finally getting a drink of water, he greedily and without reservation, launched an attack, absorbing all the moisture.

Although it was clumsy at first, perhaps he was too intelligent, his learning ability too strong.

Soon, the kiss improved. He no longer accidentally bit her tongue or bumped her lips.

An Jiu had never kissed before. This was her first time being so intimate with someone. After the initial discomfort, she gradually immersed herself in the comfort of the mingling saliva and intertwined lips.

It was like soaking in a pool of warm water; her whole body felt light, all discomfort smoothed away, warm all over, as if basking in the winter sun.

The unbearable pain gradually turned into a deep, bone-marrow itch, making her want to continue, and continue.

Was kissing this comfortable? It was like falling into a beautiful dream, wanting only to remain immersed and never wake.

No wonder she'd heard so many people say they could kiss for hours.

Especially since An Jiu's senses were sharper than those of ordinary people. If ordinary people could experience one point of pleasure, she could experience three.

The uninhibited entanglement of tongues and lips, the fine, dense tingling on her lips, the subtle electric current running through her palate when it was touched—all made her involuntarily weaken at the waist, her whole body trembling uncontrollably.

This feeling, it was so easy to become addicted to.

He must have been comfortable too, right?

An Jiu quietly lifted her eyelashes, looking at the handsome face so close at hand.

Her eyes adjusted to the darkness, and she gradually could see his features clearly.

The man's eyes were closed tightly, his long eyelashes fluttering like the wings of a butterfly. His high, straight nose was pressed against hers, sometimes intersecting, sometimes rubbing. The sweat on his nose touched her nose, bringing a subtle coolness.

His originally furrowed brows had unknowingly relaxed. In his handsome features, there was no longer any sign of unbearable pain, only deep immersion and longing.

An Jiu could sense the involuntary spasms in his body, probably caused by pain. Each time the pain was severe, his kisses would become more forceful, fierce, as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

An Jiu looked at him silently for a long while, before quietly closing her eyelids again before he noticed.

At some point, Pei Ji had loosened her wrists. His long fingers were now gripping the nape of her neck, pressing her deeply against the door.

An Jiu silently reached out her slender arms, wrapping them around his neck, burying herself in his embrace, filled with the scent of medicine.

An Jiu couldn't remember when she had fallen asleep that night.

All she knew was that they had kissed for a long time, her lips and tongue numb.

She was also fairly certain that kissing did seem to relieve Pei Ji's pain.

However, An Jiu guessed that it was probably just a general distraction effect.

For example, when modern children get injections, their parents will use cartoons to distract them. The child's mind is focused on the television, so the needle prick doesn't feel as painful.

The minds were focused on kissing, so even if his body were still in pain, he could still manage to ignore some of it.

Finally, An Jiu was so sleepy that she pulled Pei Ji onto the bed.

Of course, nothing happened. Pei Ji, in his dazed state, was incapable of anything.

They simply lay together and slept. Every time Pei Ji felt uncomfortable, he would pull An Jiu close and kiss her. Several times, An Jiu was woken up by his kisses while she was sleeping, vaguely responding to him a few times before falling back asleep.

It wasn't until dawn that An Jiu was finally undisturbed.

She slept soundly until daybreak, her consciousness finally becoming clear. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw someone sitting by the bed.

Dressed in clean, snow-white clothes, with dark black hair tied up behind him, a handsome face with a pair of long, narrow black eyes, the corners of his eyes curved upwards, as if naturally carrying a gentle smile.

If it wasn't Pei Ji, who else could it be?

An Jiu scrambled to her feet, covering her chest as if she had seen a ghost, widening her eyes, and saying in a terrified tone, “Pei... Pei...Pei Ji? What are you doing here! You've broken into my room!!”

The man in white remained calm, but a subtle hint of inquiry flickered in his eyes.

He looked at her intently, the usual smile gone from his lips. He spoke slowly, “Are you sure this is your room?”

Hearing this, the girl looked around, her bright and beautiful little face turning white.

“Th-th-this... this isn't my room! How did I get here! Did you do something to me?!”

Pei Ji was silent for a moment, his tone suspicious, “...Do you not remember what happened last night?”

Pei Ji woke up before dawn, or rather, he hadn't slept at all. He was just in a hazy state of mind, only gradually regaining clarity and rationality as dawn approached.

The moment he regained his senses, he saw himself tightly holding someone. The person was dressed in red, nestled obediently in his arms, sleeping with rosy cheeks and slightly swollen, rosy lips.

He sat up from the bed in a daze, recalling everything that had happened last night in the darkness.

Because of his movement, his hair brushed against the girl's face. She instinctively pushed it away with her small hand, mumbling softly, “No more…”

What had happened, that even in her sleep, she subconsciously spoke such words?

Pei Ji, of course, hadn't lost his memory; he remembered everything.

His clear mind recalled it all: the intoxicating fragrance of peach blossoms, the soft, sweet lips, the cloud-like body of the girl.

Last night was the most ‘comfortable’ bout of his poison attack in his not-so-long life.

In the past, every time he woke up, he recalled only struggle and misery, endless pain and resentment. Now, the first thing he remembered was their intertwined hair, their clinging lips...

He even couldn't help but want to relive it.

The girl who had drunkenly stumbled into his room was like a potent balm, soothing the pain that had tormented him for years and giving him an indescribable pleasure.

Pei Ji's dark eyes were heavy as he fixed his gaze on the girl's face.

Could she really not remember anything?

He had sat by the bed for a long time while An Jiu slept. He had reached out countless times to touch her face, only to pull his hand back.

She had stumbled upon his secret, so even though she had comforted him, Pei Ji couldn't let her off easily.

But for some reason, he ultimately couldn't bring himself to act.

The thought of the girl becoming an ignorant puppet, never again being able to see her bright and spirited face, made Pei Ji feel uneasy.

He didn't like to leave things unfinished. After all the effort it took to make this woman like ‘Fei Yi,’ he had completed half of his plan; there was no need to create further trouble.

At the same time, a voice deep inside him whispered that maybe... things wouldn't be as bad as he thought?

Hesitating like this, he waited until he noticed the girl's eyelids fluttering, as if she was about to wake up.

Pei Ji decided to stop moving altogether, waiting to see her reaction.

If she screamed as soon as she woke up, he would subdue her. At worst, he would imprison her. If Pei Ji imprisoned her, she would only hate Pei Ji; she would still love ‘Fei Yi.’

Then, when he found the Twin-soul Gu, he could use Fei Yi's identity to be with her and cure the poison.

If they could come to an understanding, that would be even better. As long as she promised not to tell anyone what happened last night, he might let her go.

What Pei Ji didn't expect was that she... remembered nothing.
